Shift: B Side Nights - Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Every Other Wednesday, 6 PM - 6 AM

Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT team. This role involves maintaining data center systems, troubleshooting issues, performing server installations, and ensuring continuous network availability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, data center operations, and server installations, along with experience in GPU deployment and at least 4 years in a hyperscale environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks as needed, including:
    • Move, inspect, and install servers and switches.
    • Cable devices according to wire maps and ensure neat bundling.
    • Verify connectivity with network administrators.
    • Install additional components (NIC, drives, memory).
    • Unbox, prep, and audit servers and consumables.
    • Troubleshoot server issues and replace defective parts.
    • Update firmware and configure IP addresses.
    • Assist network admins with cabling, optics, and hardware replacements.
    • Rack and stack servers/switches for remote configuration.
    • Deploy and configure GPUs in servers.
    • Perform break-fix tasks for servers and GPUs.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and ticket resolution.
  • Act as liaison between team members and management.
  • Prioritize and manage workload across projects.
  • Review build documentation and validate requirements.
  • Direct data center build activities and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide leadership and support for program growth.
  • Manage multiple projects under high-pressure conditions.
  • Monitor deadlines and report status to project managers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and servers.
  • Familiarity with common office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends/holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and wear PPE.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a hyperscale environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT (or equivalent experience)
  • CCNA certification preferred
  • MCP/MSCE certification preferred
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Experience with structured cabling, fiber testing, and storage devices
  • Familiarity with ITIL Framework and ticketing systems
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1-3)
  • OSHA30 or higher certification

Location: Onsite in Mt. Pleasant, WI
Focus: GPU cluster deployments within MKE 03 and 04
Schedule: Multiple resources across all 4 core shifts (A/B/Days/Nights) on a 3x4x12 rotation

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.30 - $36.30/hr.
