Job Summary
The Senior AWS Architect will lead designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions aligned with business goals. The role required deep expertise with AWS technologies, strong understanding of business operations, and the ability to translate requirements into innovative solutions. The architect will collaborate with stakeholders, guide development teams, and promote best practices to advance cloud capabilities and support strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Design and lead the development of scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS cloud solutions, providing architecture guidelines for software and hardware integration, performance, reliability, and security.
- Assess existing applications and infrastructure to identify opportunities for cloud migration and optimization.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their requirements, create project business cases, and define Enterprise Architecture solutions to develop roadmaps that align technology with business strategies.
- Support stakeholders by liaising between clients, vendors, project teams, and technical staff.
- Lead the AWS Center of Excellence (CoE), guiding teams on best practices, cloud strategies, and emerging technologies.
- Mentor and support AWS teams by providing technical leadership, conducting training, and sharing knowledge organization-wide.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with cloud technology trends and advancements in AWS services.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in technology, with at least 5+ years focused on cloud architecture and engineering.
- Deep understanding of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM), cloud migration, security, and compliance.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps practices (CI/CD), and Infrastructure as Code.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing security and compliance standards.
- Experience designing cloud-native applications and solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and present effectively to all management levels.
- Preferred: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional).
