Oracle PPM Techno-Functional Support Consultant

- Serve as the techno-functional subject-matter expert for Oracle s Project Accounting (PA) or Project Portfolio/Project Costing/Billing modules.
- Provide ongoing production support: incident triage, root-cause investigation, resolution of system issues, interface errors, data exceptions.
- Perform functional configuration changes and enhancements (within supported scope): e.g., cost allocations, billing rules, revenue recognition, project status and period management.
- Work with business users (project controllers, finance, PMO) to gather requirements for changes/enhancements, conduct fit/gap analysis, propose solutions aligned with Oracle best practices.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications or change requests; liaise with technical/IT teams for development, integration, data migration.
- Ensure accurate accounting flows: project costs, billing/invoicing, inter-company project transfers, project to asset integrations, revenue management.
- Maintain and monitor system integrations with upstream/downstream modules (e.g., GL, AR, AP, OTL, SCM).
- Support month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes as they relate to project accounting: ensure project periods are open/closed, exceptions cleared, reconciliations done.
- Provide system testing support: unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) for configuration changes, upgrades, patches.
- Develop or update documentation: functional design documents, configuration guides, process flows, support guides, change logs.
- Conduct training or workshops for business users on new features/enhancements.
- Stay updated on Oracle releases/patches for Project modules and advise on impact to current configuration and business process.
- Advocate for continuous improvement: identify opportunities to streamline, automate or optimize project-accounting processes leveraging Oracle capabilities.
