Systems Administrator
The Systems Administrator provides comprehensive support and administration for all operational client computing systems and related services. This role is responsible for deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting client systems, ensuring optimal performance and security through both hands-on management and automation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot IT service issues related to client computing systems and hosted servers.
Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams on network and connectivity issues.
Administer and provision virtual desktop environments.
Manage users, mailboxes, and distribution lists within Office 365.
Administer endpoint management tools (e.g., JAMF, Microsoft Intune, SCCM), including creating images, policies, and configuration profiles for end-user devices.
Automate system processes using PowerShell, Bash, VBScript, and AppleScript.
Configure Group Policy Objects (GPO) and manage Windows endpoints and servers.
Perform system troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implement preventative measures for service interruptions.
Co-manage security applications (such as CrowdStrike, Duo) and participate in security incident management.
Assist with system and software upgrades as needed.
Respond to user and help desk requests, including limited after-hours support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years experience with business systems, operating systems (Windows, Mac OS), and servers.
Strong logical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft Intune/Ivanti, JAMF, and PowerShell scripting.
Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, GPO, and endpoint management tools.
Knowledge of Office 365, Azure AD, and virtualization/cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) preferred.
Experience with Bash scripting and Windows Server Administration is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage projects, anticipate risks, and work effectively under pressure.
