Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Telecommunications Technician to oversee and execute structured cabling projects, with a focus on Cat6 installations in commercial and industrial environments. This role is ideal for a technician with strong leadership skills, advanced technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality and safety. Lead and supervise teams in the installation, routing, and labeling of Cat6 cables in ceilings, walls, conduits, and other infrastructure. Perform and oversee cable terminations, testing, certification, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate project execution. Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices and safety procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cabling issues independently. Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and project progress. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, with a focus on Cat6 installations. Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as fish tape, cable testers, punch-down tools, and ladders. Strong understanding of TIA/EIA standards and cable certification processes. Proven leadership and team coordination skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings. Comfortable working in physically demanding environments (e.g., climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Industry certifications (e.g., BICSI, OSHA 10/30) are a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
