Job Title: Layout Design Engineer
Location: Rochester, MN (Onsite)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Layout Design Engineer with expertise in analog IC layout. This role involves creating and optimizing circuit layouts to meet performance, manufacturability, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, and capable of solving complex technical challenges while collaborating across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analog Circuit Layout: Design, modify, and optimize layouts for analog integrated circuits, ensuring efficient component placement and routing.

  • Verification & Compliance: Conduct Design Rule Checks (DRC) and Layout vs. Schematic (LVS) to ensure layouts comply with fabrication standards and design specifications.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with circuit designers to translate design intent into precise layouts, incorporating design feedback throughout the process.

  • Tool Usage: Utilize industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso for layout creation and verification.

  • Documentation: Produce accurate and comprehensive layout documentation for internal use and external compliance.

  • Testing & Debug Support: Assist with hardware testing by identifying and resolving layout-related issues.
