Job Description

Rapid Prep is a growing national company that services the abrasive blasting industry and is looking for the following skills and qualifications:

-Candidate must have good driving record and no criminal record. Technician will be required at times to service equipment in local government facilities. No applicant with a felony conviction will be considered due to the access requirement

-Experience with electrical systems and controls is not required but is preferred. Technician will be working with AC and DC powered componentry (120v-480v)

- Knowledge of diesel engines, ability to change oil, fuel filters, fuel lines and adjust PTO's., hydraulic systems is preferred

-Ability to operate forklifts and shop equipment is preferred

-Basic working knowledge of compressed air and pneumatic systems is preferred

-Basic welding skill is useful to position

-Basic working knowledge of power drive systems is desirable (Electric and Diesel)

-CDL license is of value to the position

-Capacity to wear a half mask 2 cartridge respirator and be fit tested for such, facial hair may need to be shaven for proper respirator use will be required at times

-Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times is required

Candidate will be compensated based on having a certain level of knowledge of the above criteria and/ or an ability to learn these skills from operations management. Above all else candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn the business.
