Desktop Engineer

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to support and enhance their end user computing environment across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms. This long-term, multi-year contract offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and enterprise deployment strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in operating systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, with strong skills in configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Experience with infrastructure components such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, and JAMF.
• Hands-on expertise in Mobile Device Management (MDM) using Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or MobileIron.
• Experience deploying Imprivata OneSign for secure user authentication.
• Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Cherwell.
• Proficient in desktop and server support, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting enterprise software suites like Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on user experience and system reliability.
• Experience in strategic planning and deployment of enterprise-wide solutions for OS upgrades and hardware refreshes.
• Contributed to major technical projects, including infrastructure upgrades and security enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and software applications.
• Design and implement deployment solutions for enterprise-wide rollouts and upgrades.
• Lead or support the deployment of Imprivata Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
• Manage and support MDM platforms like Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or MobileIron.
• Participate in evaluating, testing, and implementing new technologies and tools.
• Develop and maintain the strategy for the endpoint environment, including hardware/software roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on major technical projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Analyze performance data and system metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL standards and contribute to ITSM processes using tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
