Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with deep expertise in Data Governance and Data Management. This role requires a professional who combines advanced analytical skills, strong business acumen, and excellent communication to collaborate effectively between technical teams and senior business stakeholders. The candidate will lead governance initiatives, perform complex data analyses, ensure compliance with data policies, and support executive-level reporting and strategy.


Responsibilities

<>Data Governance Leadership</>
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with senior business stakeholders and technical teams to define and implement data governance strategies.

  • Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Advocate for data governance best practices and foster a data-driven culture across the organization.

<>Data Analysis</>
  • Elicit, analyze, and document complex data governance requirements from business and executive stakeholders.

  • Translate business needs, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs), into actionable technical specifications.

  • Create comprehensive documentation, including meeting notes, presentations, and executive-level reports.

  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and improvement areas.

  • Understand and manage data quality controls, dashboards, and reporting metrics for governance tracking.

  • Conduct data lineage analysis to assess data flow, dependencies, and impact of governance changes.

  • Develop a deep understanding of CDEs, metadata management, and data lineage across systems.

  • Analyze and validate data requirements for applications and reports to ensure governance compliance.

<>Communication & Collaboration</>
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with technical teams and business stakeholders, including executives.

  • Build strong working relationships with data architects, engineers, analysts, and business partners.

  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Analysis and Data Governance.

  • Proven experience engaging with senior management and executive teams.

  • Deep understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.

  • Extensive experience in data quality managementdata profiling, and metadata management tools.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong working knowledge of Python (pandas) or R.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) is highly preferred.

  • CDMP or other data governance certifications are a plus.
