Now Hiring Production Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Alexandria, MN


Pay Rate:
$30.50 per hour

Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts either 6 PM - 6 AM or 8 PM - 8 AM (depending on the facility).

Responsibilities:


  • Performs planned, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.

  • Uses available documentation for equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.

  • Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.

  • Respond quickly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and industrial equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Basic computer skills for work order documentation and inventory tracking.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces or heights.

  • Forklift experience required to move product as needed.


Additional Details:


  • There are potential opportunities to train/work on the Facilities Maintenance team if you have a valid 1st Class Boiler's license and 3 - 5 years' experience in equipment maintenance work with other trades (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing).
