Title: Project Manager Network & Infrastructure Engineering
Location: Remote
Client: IBM / AEP
Rate: $70/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with expertise in Network and Infrastructure Engineering to support utility and energy infrastructure modernization projects. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing network cutovers, infrastructure deployments, and secure IT/OT integrations in generation and substation environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage network cutovers and rack & stack infrastructure deployments.

  • Oversee secure data routing between IT and OT layers, ensuring robust segmentation and routing protocols.

  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to support parallel network deployments at existing generation sites.

  • Collaborate with SCADA and control systems teams to integrate telemetry and data flow across substation and plant-level environments.

  • Manage digital system integration in retrofitted gas plants, including environment server configurations for plant monitoring and control.

  • Track milestones, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of infrastructure deliverables.

Required Skills:

  • Strong background in network and infrastructure project management.

  • Knowledge of router network design, segmentation, and IT/OT integration.

  • Experience in PI SCADA environments, GE On-Site Monitoring (OSM), or similar platforms.

  • Understanding of telemetry systems and control system data flows.

  • Familiarity with substation design, retrofitting of gas plants, and generation asset engineering.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across engineering and technical teams.
