Site Reliability Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Site Reliability Engineer in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities:
* Provide on-call support and incident response for Tax and Corporate Actions products
* Investigate production issues and collaborate with technology and business partners to resolve them
* Execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans
* Maintain operational documentation and support audit processes
* Monitor system metrics to improve scalability, reliability, and performance
* Drive automation and data-driven improvements to enhance service stability
* Partner with product teams to ensure readiness for changes and prevent instability
* Contribute to projects that apply analytics and application patterns to improve service standards
* Support engineering efforts across critical brokerage recordkeeping platforms

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience supporting microservices architecture and highly automated, scalable infrastructure
* Proficiency in AWS services including EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM roles/policies
* Hands-on experience with container-based development using Docker
* Solid understanding of REST-based microservices, particularly Spring Boot applications
* Experience with Hibernate ORM, JDBC, and connection pooling
* Familiarity with event-driven architecture solutions such as Kafka, MQ, or AWS SNS
* Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools including GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory, and Terraform
* Analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex problems and improving operational efficiency

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
