Workday Integration Engineer

Direct Hire or Contract to Hire

Remote EST

Our client in the healthcare industry has an immediate direct hire role available for a Workday Integration Engineer.

This role will be responsible for managing the Workday integrations landscape and driving efficiency enhancements through validations. This is a key resource in ensuring our landscape is efficient, accurate, and scalable. Need someone that is relentless in uncovering and identifying solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Workday integrations development with strong experience in HCM and Financial Module integration
  • Strong knowledge of Workday Studio, EIB, and Web Services.
    Experience with integrations with Jobvite ,Banks , Fidelity, Kodiak, Okta, EPIC, Cigna etc.
    Demonstrated proficiency in Workday reporting tools and modules, including Report Writer, Composite Reporting, and Advanced Reporting.
    Strong understanding of data structures, data management principles, and data extraction techniques within the Workday ecosystem.
    Experience with Web Services and APIs: (WSDL (Web Service Description Language), SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), REST (Representational State Transfer) and WS (Web Services) standards.
    Knowledge in Integration security (ISU, PGP Key, MFA).
    The candidate must be a hands-on coder doing active development and collaborate with other engineers in the team.
    Strong understanding of Workday data architecture.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of general business processes and how data and software applications support them.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to link strategy with HR solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of OKTA and Microsoft 365
  • Must be highly autonomous and self-motivated; demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have demonstrated natural leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to work expeditiously, adapt to continually changing priorities, and demonstrate analytical skills
  • WORKDAY Security and Reporting knowledge

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA), and the unique security challenges in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead integrations requirements with cross-functional teams; ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
    Build technical specifications, field mappings, and process designs to support integrations landscape and process life-cycle.
    Possess solid understanding of the business process, workflows, and data requirements for Workday integrations across HCM and Finance
    Develop and maintain integration documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and landscape diagrams.
    Troubleshoot and resolve integrations issues in a timely manner; complete root cause analysis and develop plans to mitigate risks in the future,
    Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of integrations.
    Responsible for integration audit documentation and support.
    Stay up to date with new Workday integration features and best practices.
    Partner with the People Systems team to design, document, and execute Workday reporting requests/needs.
    Work cross functionally and with project teams to enhance efficiency across Workday landscape through validations, document generation, etc.
