Team & Product Focus: Join a team supporting customer support tooling, primarily using modern development practices. The main application is built with Next.js and TypeScript, supporting both front end and back end needs. Occasional work may involve self-service tools, but the focus is on customer support systems.
Tech Stack: Required skills include React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Experience with AWS and full stack (Node.js API integration) is a strong plus. No Java, Kotlin, or Scala used.
Design & UX: Figma is the primary design tool for handoffs and collaboration. Familiarity with Figma is preferred but not a hard requirement.
Legacy & Migration: The team is migrating from a legacy stack that also used TypeScript but had unnecessary GraphQL complexity. The current phase is phase two of migration, focusing on simplification and modernization.
Location & Work Model: Preferred locations are San Francisco or New York City, with a hybrid schedule (official policy: four days in office). .
Interview Process: Three rounds 30 minutes with Andrew (culture/team fit), then two 45-minute technical sessions with tech leads, focused on practical React coding (not algorithmic/LeetCode style).
Team Environment: Agile, collaborative, distributed across several US cities. Emphasis on teamwork, open discussion of engineering solutions, and a mix of product-driven and tech-driven initiatives. AI integration and research are active areas.
Ideal Candidate: Recent hands-on experience with Next.js (ideally full stack), customer support application background, and any AI integration experience is a bonus. Team player mindset is essential; not seeking someone to rewrite everything. Seniority is based on impact and mindset, not just years of experience.
Openings: Three positions available for this role.
