ELN Development Engineer (Biovia)

Role: ELN Development Engineer, Configuration and Support

Location: US Remote, Nearshore (Canada/South America)

Duties:

• Perform ELN platforms system administration tasks
• Engage with team members, IT architects and system managers to understand current architecture, data flows and downstream integration points
• Work with end users to develop custom fields and associated report methods, followed by completion of all validation activities prior to deployment in production environment.
• Translate user needs into working features and functions within ELN systems
• Identify opportunities for streamlining ELN business process and performance issues
• Work with other system administrators and end users/customers to help configure and develop functions based on business requirements.
• Troubleshoot instrument connectivity issues, custom field calculations, and optimize processing methods.
• Document, respond, resolve ELN system incidents.
• Provide account creation, role-based security, reporting, instrument interfaces, data interfaces, table design, system auditing and monitoring

Deliverables:

• Updated ELN system architecture documents describing data flows, integration points, data interfaces, table design and instrument interfaces
• Updated ELN configurations reflecting the implementation of custom fields, as per the requirements, and their associated processing methods
• Validation Testing results of the updated configuration, custom fields, and processing methods
• Updated ELN configuration and technical support documents covering areas like role-based security, auditing, monitoring, reporting and usage
• Updated ELN Runbooks
• ELN System Incident Reports
• Weekly status reports that include the number of service tickets opened, closed, and in-progress. The report should include work plan for outstanding/in-progress issues.

Programming Skills: BIOVIA ELN SDK (Software Development Kit), .Net, SQL/Database advanced skills, C#, Rest API

The salary range provided for this contract role represents our good faith estimate for this position. Within the range, individual offers will vary based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process (W2 or C2C).
