Job Description
This role is Monday-Thursday onsite and Friday is work from home.
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in data governance and data management.
End-to-end data governance experience including data glossary and metadata work and working with business users on adoption.
Demonstrated expertise in data governance, data management, data quality, and data stewardship programs.
Strong proficiency in requirements gathering and creating detailed documentation and workflows.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with management and team members.
Strong proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
Critical thinker and ability to work well in a team and independently.
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience working with data governance tools such as Atlan.
Experience with data lakes and relational databases.
We are looking for a dedicated Data Governance analyst to join our team and help establish a robust Data Governance framework across all departments in this COE role. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing enterprise-wide Data Governance by engaging with both business and Digital stakeholders to understand the requirements and foster the development and acceptance of data principles, policies, and standards. This role demands a proactive individual who can work collaboratively across multiple departments and stakeholders to build consensus, enhance data quality, and address data-related issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the data governance lead and data stewards to develop, implement, and maintain data governance standards, practices, and processes.
Assist in identifying and escalating business risks that could impair the success of the program and negatively impact business goals.
Advise and assist in metadata management in our data catalog, Atlan, to capture data documentation such as workflows, data dictionaries, glossaries, lineage, and other metadata.
Work with stakeholders to develop a network of data stewards and data owners and assist to develop and execute data governance training.
Develop, maintain, and support a data governance centric SharePoint workspace.
