Location & Work Arrangement
- City, State: Harrisburg, PA (Dauphin County)
- Work Arrangement: Remote (Currently, but flexible to Hybrid).
- Contract: This is a Contract position.
- Onsite/Residency Note: Only candidates located 1.5 hours or less from Middletown, PA will be considered. The resource must be available to report onsite (within 3 hours) for key project phases (Solution Confirmation, SITs, UAT, Go-Live, Hypercare) or in case of emergency. The rate is inclusive of all travel costs within a 3-hour commuting distance.
- Mode of Interview: Either In-person or Webcam.
- Onboarding Requirement: Candidate must pick up equipment in-person at the Middletown, PA office.
Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas
S/4HANA Migration and System Support
- SME Role: Serve as the SME and IT point of contact for Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems supporting the current ECC systems and the new S/4HANA-based enterprise software implementation (SMART project).
- Process Mapping: Quickly adapt and learn the current As-Is processes to facilitate accurate mapping to the To-Be processes in S/4HANA.
- Implementation Support: Partner with the system integrator and business teams to provide configuration, development, and testing support.
- Integration: Focus on integration with other SAP modules and related PTC systems. Desired experience includes integration with Microsoft Dynamics and external systems/banks.
- Troubleshooting & Hypercare: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues in the current ECC environment and provide critical support during cutover and post-go-live hypercare in the S/4HANA environment.
Core Module Expertise (10+ Years Required)
- SAP FI/CO: Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP Finance and Controlling components and a strong understanding of related end-to-end business processes.
- SAP FM & PS: Strong knowledge and deep experience working with Funds Management (FM) and Project Systems (PS) components, utilizing both ECC and S/4HANA.
- Financial Processes: Required experience with month-end and year-end financial processes in both SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA.
- Implementation: Required experience in at least 2 implementation projects configuring S/4HANA FI/CO, FM, and PS.
Design and Documentation
- Process Design: Experience participating in process discovery and design workshops to develop and deliver SAP solutions, ideally using S/4HANA.
- Documentation: Hands-on experience developing, reviewing, and editing design documents (functional, technical, testing) and training material (process documents, job aids).
- Compliance: Strong understanding of financial procedures, policies, and regulations for public agencies.
