Job Details
At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Do you enjoy taking on challenges that create a positive impact for millions of people? The Speech Recognition & Dictation team at Apple is building groundbreaking technology and new user experiences, and we need a senior technical program manager to help lead the charge! We're looking for a senior technical program manager with a proven track record of developing and maintaining complex software platforms, tools, and processes that help deliver new end-to-end consumer experiences.
Description You will be the program manager responsible for supporting Apple's speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies. You work closely with both the Speech engineering teams and partners who will adopt this technology for their own internal and external use cases. You will act as the subject matter expert, gathering requirements and slotting these needs into the overall speech recognition roadmap. You will be responsible for leading partner adoption and ensuring the success of the partner team. Plan: Create and lead project timelines with clear dependencies, a critical path, and a systematic methodology to communicate status effectively. Handle risks and mitigations, and re-plan as events warrant. Drive alignment across the organization and between teams. Problem-solve: Proactively identify issues and solutions, and marshal the necessary resources to address and resolve. Coordinate with teams to identify issues, prioritize tasks, and track risks to schedule and product quality, including cross-functional dependencies. Communicate: Provide clear, timely, and objective updates, including regular program status reports and notifications of critical issues as needed, to the executive team. Coordinate: Coordinate discussions and break down complex issues into manageable discussion topics to drive alignment between engineering and design, with support from the project team, while maintaining a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Execute: Drive on-time delivery and deployment, identifying development and feasibility needs, establishing achievements for checkpoints and status updates. Continuously Improve: Reflect on how the team operates, propose new ways to work, and implement them to enhance the rate at which the team delivers value to customers.
