Senior Systems Engineer

We're looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from server and storage management to Active Directory and security compliance. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective technology solutions.

• Server and Storage Management: Administer and maintain our server infrastructure, including performing regular updates, backups, and ensuring high availability. You'll also design and maintain our storage ecosystem, including SAN arrangements, cloud storage, and off-site disaster recovery solutions.
• Identity and Access: Manage the design and maintenance of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments. You'll be responsible for domains, troubleshooting authentication issues, and securing our Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures. You will also participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Technical Support and Collaboration: Provide advanced technical support to the service desk team, resolve escalated issues, and perform root cause analysis. You will collaborate with peers and stakeholders to develop innovative IT solutions and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• System Design and Continuous Improvement: Assist in designing and implementing new IT systems and solutions. You'll stay informed on industry trends, proposing and implementing improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency. You will also participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours support.

• Experience: 5-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years of experience administering a complex Active Directory, Hybrid AD, or Azure AD environment for 500-1000 users.
• Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Server 2019+ Administration, including Hyper-V 2016+, Active Directory 2016+, and System Center Machine Manager 2019+.
• Core Technologies: Proficiency with Dell Compute & Storage (M7000 Blades, Compellent), Synology NAS, and a working knowledge of SQL Server.
• Identity Management: Strong knowledge of Microsoft identity and access management products, along with hands-on experience with Okta and Duo.
• Cloud & Scripting: Experience with cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications like MCSE 2016+ and ITIL V2-3.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
