Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc seeks an Associate, Java Developer in New York, New York

Analyze, design, code, test, and maintain large-scale, distributed applications. Develop and enhance an inhouse system that manages the lifecycle processing of asset servicing events. Conduct all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment. Assist in renovating the Firm's Global Asset Servicing technology platform from legacy mainframe to distributed technology stack. Responsible for production root cause analysis, performance tuning, testing, raising bugs, minor code fixes, and ongoing maintenance upgrades.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $152,000 and $152,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the position offered or four (4) years as a/an Associate, Technology; Software Developer; System Engineer; or related occupation in the technology field. The employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field of study and two (2) years of experience as an Associate, Technology; Software Developer; System Engineer; or related occupation in the technology field

in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Java; JavaScript; Python; Mockito; JUnit; Git; Jenkins; Intellij; Command Line; Agile; Object Oriented Design; Unix/Linux; SQL; Ksh; Gradle; Spring or Springbot; Swagger; JDBC; IBM DB2; Sybase; H2; Angular; DBArtisan; Command Prompt; Containers and Container Orchestration Systems; AppDynamics; Splunk; Scrum; Rally (previously known as Agile Central); REST; Asset Servicing; SOAP; and Liquibase.
