We hope your company can help us find experienced IT PROJECT MANAGERs to fill urgent needs in our City of Phoenix IT PMO. We are looking for experienced Project Managers to help lead high-visibility projects and who will interact with our growing team of 35 PMs and BAs.
Note: this role has several openings. We are looking to fill multiple project manager roles in the areas listed under Ideal Candidates (including experience in 1 of the 5 skills below):
IDEAL CANDIDATES Past experience in either:
1. Recent large-scale website design/redesign experience with upgrades or conversions, or:
2. Recent large-scale constituent or customer management systems experience with managing the creation, upgrade, or conversion, ,or:
3. Recent large-scale time tracking experience with managing the creation, upgrade, or conversion, or:
4. Recent large-scale experience managing the implementation or remediation of security tools, or:
5. Recent large-scale experience working with mobile device management
Ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflict.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Adherence to the Governance process by engaging stakeholders, preparing status reports, and conducting executive briefings .
Conduct project planning exercises to successfully deliver the project .
Vendor Management tasks including deliverable acceptance, milestone payment, contract adherence, and escalations .
Budget Management and tracking .
Create, track, and deliver project timelines, tasks, and metrics .
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Seven (7) years as project lead with experience in technology projects involving multiple computer subsystems.
Recent large-scale website design/redesign experience with upgrades or conversion.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Ability to be on-site as required by the project needs and project team activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certifications.
Master s degree in business/Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience in IT program or project management?
Experience leading IT project management teams
Experience with vendor management
Experience with software implementation/upgrade
Experience working with, or for, public sector organizations
Experience with project and portfolio management tools
Excellent customer service and business relationship communication skills
Some additional details of the position are as follows:
Duration: 12 months Will only review resumes of highly experienced candidates Interview process: 1 round remote, possibly 1 round onsite Role is non-supervisory Hybrid work model; must be in the US and within commuting distance to the Phoenix area for periodic onsite work Work is typically weekdays 8-5; could be nights/weekends (e.g., go-live) City-approved background check required Some positions may require CJIS and/or MAX clearance
