IT Manager I - IT Project Management / SDLC

What you'll do:
As an IT Manager I, within the Project Management / Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) program, you will be responsible for ensuring that project management deliverables, documentation, and processes meet established standards across the IT project lifecycle. You will work closely with project managers, business leads, QA analysts, and development teams to verify adherence to the SDLC, ensure risk controls are embedded, and continuously improve process quality and compliance.
You will help shape the quality assurance framework for project execution, conduct audits on project documentation, assess risk and compliance practices, and track process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

You will help shape the quality assurance framework for project execution, conduct audits on project documentation, assess risk and compliance practices, and track process improvement initiatives.
- Standardize and continuously improve project documentation templates, workflows, and knowledge repositories.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops on SDLC best practices, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Integrate quality assurance checkpoints, including CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Lead the quality control process for IT projects and ensure conformance with project management methodology and SDLC standards.
- Review project documentation including project charters, plans, risk logs, and change requests for completeness and compliance.
- Design and execute quality audit processes and corrective action plans for project teams.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify areas for improvement in documentation, execution, and compliance.
- Monitor project risk and issue tracking for resolution effectiveness and process accuracy.
- Maintain quality dashboards and produce regular reports for leadership, highlighting trends and recommending improvements.
- Partner with internal audit, risk, and compliance teams to prepare for audits and support remediation efforts.
- Train project stakeholders on quality standards and continuously enhance process templates and guidelines.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) and project governance.
- Experience with project quality control frameworks, risk management, and/or documentation standards.
- Financial services or banking industry experience preferred.
- Proficient with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Workfront, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Lucid Chart, ServiceNow) is a plus.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
