Position: Integration Architect / Middleware Technical Lead
Location: Lanham, MD
Duration: 12 Months+
Client: IRS
Rate: $85/hr. On C2.
THIS IS A ONSITE ROLE AT LANHAM, MD. NEED ONLY LOCALS WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE TO LANHAM, MD.
Overview: Seeking a Middleware Integration Architect to design and lead integration strategies across hybrid enterprise environments. This role combines systems thinking, hands-on solutioning, and collaboration with business and engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
Architect, plan, and lead implementation of enterprise middleware/integration solutions (e.g., Software AG, MuleSoft, Apache Kafka, Oracle Fusion, WebMethods, etc.).
Lead cross-platform technical integration across microservices, containers, APIs, and cloud-native services (AWS, Azure).
Design integration patterns across COTS, SaaS, IAM tools, and cloud platforms.
Own and manage:
Technical dependency maps and integration point documentation
Impact assessments and traceability of system requirements
Integration with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Conduct platform performance analysis, capacity planning, and tuning of message brokers (e.g., JMS, MQ).
Support technical reviews, build verification testing, and release readiness checks.
Qualifications:
8+ years in enterprise integration, architecture, or middleware engineering roles.
Hands-on experience with ESB technologies, message-oriented middleware, and API gateways.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture, real-time streaming, and secure data exchange protocols (OAuth2, SAML, TLS).
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk).
