Job Details

Location: West Conshohocken, PA
Salary: $25.00 USD Hourly - $28.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Desktop Support Specialist

  • On-site: Conshohocken, PA
  • Rate- $25 to $28/hr, depending on experience
  • 6-12 month initial contract, potential to extend or convert
  • *Apple device troubleshooting & MDM experience required


Technical Support
  • Provide advanced technical support directly to end-users for a wide range of hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshooting complex problems with systems, applications, and peripherals on Windows, Macintosh, and mobile platforms.
  • Performing printer break-fix, installation, and maintenance.
  • Coordinating data backup and recovery efforts.
  • Executing hardware refresh and technology deployments.
  • Managing warranty and out-of-warranty repair and replacement processes.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving audio and video conferencing issues, including conducting regular health checks.


Maintenance
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all IT assets through routine maintenance tasks and proactive monitoring.
  • Manage computer patch updates using the Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Oversee the device refreshment process, including the replacement and upgrade of outdated hardware to maintain optimal performance and user satisfaction.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as system updates, software installations, and hardware checks to ensure the smooth operation of all IT assets.
  • Monitor system performance and generate reports on maintenance activities, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with IT policies.

Asset Management
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement and deployment to disposal, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory control.
  • Performing asset tagging, tracking, and disposal.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records in the asset management system.
  • Coordinating shipping and receiving of equipment.
  • Managing spare parts inventory.
  • Working with external suppliers to schedule repairs for damaged or malfunctioning hardware.

Resource Management
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new hires and consultants by providing necessary technical resources and support.
  • Preparing and configuring hardware, software, and network services.
  • Ensuring accurate assignment and updating of hardware information in the management system.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on support activities and inventory status.
  • Open, classify, assign, track, and close service requests and incidents.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to a diverse user base through professional commitment and dedication.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA IT Fundamentals, ITIL Foundations, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience with account creation and provisioning tools, including EntraID, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, ARS, or similar platforms.
  • Some exposure with on-premises MS Exchange and MS Exchange Online is a plus.
  • Some experience with routine management of MDM solutions (Intune, Kaseya, JAMF, or others).
