Role Summary
A mid-level Credit Analyst II position responsible for managing daily credit operations, conducting credit evaluations, and supporting the credit department’s reporting functions. This role involves reviewing counterparty agreements, establishing credit limits, issuing letters of credit and guarantees, and resolving complex credit issues. Collaboration and attention to detail are essential to ensure accurate and efficient credit processes that support organizational financial stability.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze credit terms within counterparty agreements, providing informed recommendations.
- Issue letters of credit and guarantees following company guidelines.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Make informed decisions regarding credit limits and resolve complex credit problems within organizational policies.
- Mentor and support teammates to ensure accurate credit assessments and processes.
- Generate and distribute reports on credit activities on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitor and manage credit exposures to mitigate financial risk.
- Assist in the development and improvement of credit procedures and policies.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve credit-related issues promptly.
- Perform other duties related to credit operations as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an accounting or finance environment.
- Preferred: At least five (5) years of experience in oil and gas accounting/finance.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general PC skills.
- In-depth understanding of finance and accounting principles, financial documents, and ratio analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze credit risks and make sound decisions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Publishing Pay Range: $28.00-$38.00 Hourly
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
