Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a Software Engineer on the Samsclub OMS system, you will be working on a team specializing in Java applications, you will be a technical member responsible for coding, designing, and delivering robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions that Samsclub.com's Order Management platforms. You will drive key initiatives, mentor engineers, and influence the technology vision across teams, ensuring the delivery of world-class software solutions.

- End-to-End AI Solutioning: Work with team owning the lifecycle of Fulfillment lifecycle of Samsclub.com, from ideation to deployment, ensuring robust and scalable production systems. Strong Problem Solving and Enterprise Software Lifecycle Experience is must.
- Scalability and Reliability: Ensure the scalability and reliability of systems by implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, and alerting systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers, business, UX and product teams to integrate Different services for Fulfillment Lifecycle.
- Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Solution Design:
- Assist in designing scalable, distributed software solutions using industry best practices and design patterns.
- Ensure to have Hands on Experience with Development of services in Java on a cloud platform.
- Exposure to build, CI/CD & deployment pipelines and related technologies like Kubernetes.
- Exposure to SQL/NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, Elastic, Mongo etc.
- Hands-on experience in building web-based Java EE services/applications leveraging Kafka, RESTful Web-Services, Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate, Splunk, Caching.
- Retail experience or knowledge is a plus.
- Defect Management and Troubleshooting:
- Track, analyze, and resolve defects using defect tracking tools and methodologies.
- Conduct regression testing and troubleshoot performance and availability issues.
- DevOps Orientation:
- Perform complex maintenance procedures and monitor application performance using telemetry and analytics.
- Analyze logs, evaluate change requests, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience working in complex technology and data organizations.
- Deep experience in microservices architecture, and system reliability.
- Strong cross-functional leadership-ability to connect engineering execution with business KPIs.
