Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Translate business requirements and technical spec documents into executable epics and user stories that the delivery team clearly understands and can deliver.
  2. Prioritize, manage backlog and roadmap to ensure delivery on customer requirements.
  3. Lead design discussions with development teams based on complex requirements.
  4. Work with technical delivery lead for release planning and status reporting for stakeholders.
  5. Make sure the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and provides
    direction on order of the Scrum team's work.
  6. Collaborate with the agile team on a daily basis, clarifying details and answering questions.
    about direction and strategy, and actively participate in Scrum events and other planning
  7. Works with cross-functional teams to ensure that the business, quality and functional goals
    are met with each product release.
  8. Identifies and mitigates risks, threats, or opportunities that could impact the success of the
    project, notifying the team and escalating issues when appropriate.
  9. Collaborate with agile teams daily, clarifying details and answering questions about direction or strategy, and actively participate in Scrum events and other planning activities.
  10. Ensure that all internal documentation is kept up to date with new requirements and is easily accessible for technical teams.
  11. Monitor team performance and provide feedback to product management lead for any necessary process improvements.
  12. Think independently to solve difficult operational and technical problems.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years working as a Business Analyst, Technical Product Manager, Technical Project Manager
  • Cloud experience: AWS experience for cloud platforms such as Lambda, S3, Dynamo, RDS, and Kinesis
  • 2+ years operating in a SaaS environment: you should be familiar with high-level concepts of databases, cloud computing (AWS), software development, security, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience with SQL, Jira, Confluence, and Diagramming software such as Lucid Chart / Visio
  • Ability to use data analysis concepts to analyze product data
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Detail and process oriented with focus on continuous improvements to maximize efficiencies
  • Comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated successful experience learning new technologies or overcoming challenges

Nice to haves:

  • Demonstrated interest in Japanese language and/or culture
  • Previous development or DevOps experience
