Title: Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
• Perform deep-dive data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
• Partner with business and technical teams to define analytical requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using modern BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems and sources.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and analytical solutions.
• Support ad hoc reporting and data exploration requests from various business units.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and business analysts on data validation and optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Data Specialist.
• Exceptional SQL skills, must be able to write complex joins, subqueries, window functions, and optimize query performance.

SQL should be your strongest skill. You use SQL daily and are comfortable with large, complex datasets.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Proven experience working with Insurance data, preferably Property & Casualty (P&C).
• Experience analyzing business data, claims, policy, or underwriting datasets.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and data storytelling abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and collaboration with data engineering teams.
• Exposure to Python, R, or other scripting languages for advanced analytics.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
