Linux Systems Administrator (Operations)

HOW A LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (Operations) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As part of team, provide support coverage and participate in off-hour coverage rotation as projects / issues require.
Linux System Administrator for applications running on x86-64 within hosted environment or IBM Managed service IaaS.
Install and Maintain third-party products in support of hosted application(s)
Participate in Designing, installing, configuring and maintaining the Linux systems infrastructure
Schedule system maintenance jobs via system scheduler or scheduling package as decided by management
Participate in management and maintenance of servers, network devices and storage devices
Ensuring the security, availability and reliability of the Linux systems infrastructure
Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Linux systems and applications
Perform regular system backups (including application and database volumes) and disaster recovery planning
Perform restores at physical volume level of select files as determined by recovery scenarios
Monitoring system performance and resource usage and produce historical trend reports for management-level audience
Developing and implementing security policies and procedures
Fully document all processes / procedures required for system operation and application support
Keeping up-to-date with new and emerging technologies in the Linux systems space
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Engineering Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Linux System Administration, Software Installation, Configuration, Maintenance, Log Management
Security Clearance Level: None

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
