National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst, Data Segmentation, for our Customer Experience Strategy & Insights team. This hybrid position can be located in NY or MA.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Customer Segmentation Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer data to identify distinct segments within our customer base, enabling targeted marketing strategies and improved customer engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and customer behavior.

What You'll Do
Be a proactive business partner, analyzing customer data to identify patterns, trends and segments within the customer base, and share actionable insights and recommendations to drive customer experience improvements
Collaborate across the company to provide input to help design programs and targeted campaigns based on customer segments, inclusive of departments such as product & service development, contact centers, brand and marketing communications, strategic planning, and regulatory
Utilize statistical tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS, Power BI) to conduct data analysis and generate insights
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
Manage a large volume of research projects in an evolving environment with a diverse set of stakeholders
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in customer segmentation and data analysis
Apply advanced segmentation techniques such as cluster analysis, k-means clustering, RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) analysis, and propensity modeling to develop high-value customer insights

About You
Bachelor's degree preferred in data science, mathematics or statistics, marketing, science or business field, required will consider candidates with 7+ years of relevant professional experience in place of a degree
Master's degree preferred
5+ years' experience in a data analysis role, preferably in customer segmentation or marketing analytics required
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus
Proven consultative skills, such as effectively using data analytics to tell a story, comfortable presenting to business leaders, and clearly and compellingly guiding strategic discussions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver's license required

Salary

$139,000 - $163,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
