Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in GE AEMS, MMS, and enterprise data architecture within the electric utility domain. You will design scalable data models and lead data integration efforts that support mission-critical systems such as SCADA, billing, and customer information platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for utility enterprise systems.

  • Work extensively with GE AEMS and GE MMS for data modeling and integration.

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across platforms.

  • Collaborate with DBAs, engineering, and application teams.

  • Document data definitions, metadata, and standards.

  • Support BI/reporting needs through detailed data analysis.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s/Master s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • 10+ years in data modeling or data architecture roles.

  • Hands-on experience with GE AEMS and MMS.

  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling tools (ERwin, PowerDesigner), and ETL frameworks.

  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and time-series databases (e.g., OSIsoft PI).

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of electric utility operations and SCADA systems.

  • Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) or cloud data solutions.

  • Exposure to data governance, data quality, and MDM.

  • Ability to lead large data projects and cross-functional teams.
