SAIC is seeking an IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer to join the Space and Intelligence Business Group providing systems engineering and technical advisory services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The customer is developing the next generation of space and ground systems, architectures, and hardware and software solutions.
The IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and System Program Office (SPO) representative coordinating with the development contractor and stakeholders (including end user operators) for deployment of new protection capabilities into space operations. The IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer collaborates within a team of mission-related SMEs to coordinate system development, infrastructure requirements, and advise on IT infrastructure implementation strategies facilitating deployment of space protection capabilities.

Description

The IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer r esponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cloud architecting and implementation.
- Implementing DevSecOps and on-boarding new technology.
- Supporting agile ceremonies, reviews, demos, and testing.
- Supports Contracting Officer Technical Representative(s) and developers to refine requirements, designs, and testing capabilities to meet user needs.
- Multi-year IT strategic planning.
- Advise on multi-level security and cross-domain solutions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and 9 or more years of experience; master's and 7 or more years of experience; PhD and 4 or more years of experience. Significant customer experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
- 5 years of experience in IT operations, architecture, engineering, and/or software deployment.
- Experience with AWS and/or other commercial Cloud offering.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with NRO's IT budgeting, provisioning, expenditure tracking, and management.
- Proficiency with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline tools.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Exposure to FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA compliance, Federal procurement, cybersecurity controls, or other Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes.
