Candidates with a strong understanding of engineering principles or direct experience collaborating with engineering teams will find themselves particularly well-positioned to excel and make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and project management teams to thoroughly understand technical specifications, blueprints, and material requirements for large-scale construction projects. Your ability to speak the language of engineers will be key.
- Spearhead the sourcing process for a diverse range of products, materials, and equipment, ensuring adherence to design intent, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with a network of high-quality vendors and suppliers, conducting thorough evaluations and negotiating terms to secure optimal value and reliability.
- Analyze market trends, pricing structures, and supplier performance to identify opportunities.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from requisition and RFQ/RFP development to purchase order placement, contract negotiation, and expediting deliveries.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
- Ensure all procured items meet stringent quality assurance standards and comply with all relevant industry regulations and project-specific requirements.
- Maintain meticulous records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier interactions.

- A proven track record of 3-7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally within the construction, engineering, or heavy industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrable experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and complex project documentation. Direct experience working alongside engineering departments or in a role that required deep engineering collaboration is a big plus.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills. You are a clear communicator who can build rapport and influence outcomes, especially when liaising between technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
- An unwavering commitment to ethical practices and professional integrity.
Why This is a Great Opportunity:
- Join a financially stable company with a legacy of success and a future focused on growth and innovation.
- Play a critical role in high-profile infrastructure projects that shape communities.
- Work within a collaborative environment that values expertise, particularly the synergy between procurement and engineering, and empowers its employees.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package reflective of your experience and the importance of this role.
