Job Details

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-
  • Develop APIs and applications in the healthcare domain related to Patient, Membership, Order, Dispense, and Pharmacy operations by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.
  • Perform application development and maintenance of entity-based micro services using Java/J2EE including Java 1.8 features like Lambdas, Streams, and Filters and with different frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, Pivotal Cloud, Jenkins, Kafka Streams, and REST.
  • Analyze and create business models, logical specifications, and/or user requirements to develop solutions for the application.
  • Lead discussions with all levels of the organization and communicate ideas and/or issues.
  • Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering phases including design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting engineering software applications.
  • Develop REST APIs (microservices) to expose REST endpoints which will be consumed by the end users as per internal business requirements.
  • Participate in scrum meetings and coordinate with business analysts to understand business needs and implement the same into the functional design. Design and document solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, and code comments.
  • Play a technical role in driving innovative analytical methods to better align IT analytics with the organization's short-term and long-term goals.
  • Add value by adopting software engineering best practices.
  • Work with product owners to decompose or elaborate on product requirements. Analyze and create business models, logical specifications, and/or user requirements to develop solutions for the application.
  • Provide and implement technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in production.
  • Participate in application design and understand how different pieces work together and use library calls, REST APIs, database queries, etc. to communicate with them.
  • Work with onshore and offshore developers from different vendors.
  • Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications-

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and 4 years of IT experience. Must have experience with: Java; Spring Boot; SOAP; REST; Tomcat; MongoDB queries using Robo 3T; Maven; Junit; Mockito; Insomnia; Jmeter; Jenkins; OpenShift; AWS; Python; gRPC; Golang; Terraform; Step Functions; Lambda; S3; CloudWatch; ArgoCD; Redis; RabbitMQ; ORACLE 10g/11g; Splunk; Dynatrace; DynamoDB; MongoDB; Kafka; Okta; SQL; EC2; IBM MQ; and KMS.
