Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.

Security 101 is seeking a Service Technician to join our Tampa team and support our growing portfolio of commercial clients. If you're a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise in access control, IP video, and intrusion systems-and you thrive in fast-paced environments-this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Service and troubleshoot commercial alarm, access control, IP video, and intrusion systems.
- Program and test enterprise-level security systems both onsite and via remote access.
- Work directly with customers to provide instruction, support, and high-quality service.
- Maintain and manage service schedules, documentation, and inventory.
- Occasionally assist with installations and upgrades.
- Read blueprints and work with customer networks to resolve issues efficiently.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing and programming commercial access control, IP video, and intrusion systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with networked systems.
- Experience working on customer networks and remote diagnostics.
- Proficiency with:
- Access Control: Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath
- Video Systems: Axis, Exacq, Milestone
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Installation and cabling experience.
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems and IoT security solutions.
- Certifications or proficiency in:
- Access Control: Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath
- Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, MaxPro, Genetec, Victor, Avigilon, Hanwha
- Intrusion: Vista, DSC, Bosch, DMP
- Locking Hardware: ASSA ABLOY, Von Duprin, Adams Rite
