Description
As a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Database Analyst, you play a crucial role in the upkeep and enhancement of the database for the Transmission Management System (EMS). Your responsibilities encompass tasks such as analyzing SCADA points, implementing database modifications using our proprietary tools, and conducting point-to-point checkouts in collaboration with field technicians. Additionally, you are responsible for resolving technical issues escalated by the Operational Control department and Field Commissioning resources, all while adhering to predefined service level agreements. Independence and responsiveness, particularly during non-business hours, are imperative for success in this pivotal role.
Technical Skills and Experience:
Hands-on experience with SCADA systems; familiarity with OSI Monarch is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of NERC CIP standards and compliance requirements.
Working knowledge of communication protocols such as DNP3 over IP and ICCP.
Proficiency in PL/SQL and scripting languages including Python and Shell scripting.
Operational Responsibilities:
Follow established operational procedures for system support tasks, including configuring RTUs, SCADA points, ICCP links, and performing online database updates.
Perform checkouts (point-to-point verification) prior to energizing lines or stations, in close coordination with field technicians and SCADA communication engineers.
Investigate and resolve issues related to data acquisition and supervisory control to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant SCADA operations.
Perform SCADA database maintenance and manage real-time calculations and alarm configurations (preferred).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
