Systems Administrator

12-Month Contract Hybrid Position

Location: Harleysville, PA

Overview

Dynamic Systems Administrator to join our mid-sized team. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with a strong infrastructure background and a drive to deliver measurable results. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the design, deployment, and support of IT infrastructure across our facility. This includes maintaining server and desktop environments, optimizing network performance, and ensuring system reliability and security in alignment with company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and enterprise software in a centralized IT setting.
  • Design and support robust network systems, including switches, routers, servers, and endpoint devices.
  • Deliver responsive technical assistance to users and internal IT teams.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) for optimal performance.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and resolve hardware/software issues to minimize downtime.
  • Enforce enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies and mitigate system vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with corporate IT and regional teams to integrate new technologies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Participate in off-hours support or scheduled maintenance, as needed.
  • Ensure local IT operations comply with corporate guidelines and standards.
  • Continuously assess infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Keep current with emerging tools and industry best practices.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
  • This position does not offer relocation assistance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in systems administration. Manufacturing industry experience a plus.
  • Solid expertise in core networking technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Strong proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity protocols and risk mitigation practices.
  • Previous experience in IT infrastructure or systems analyst roles highly desirable.
