Pay range: $57/hr $63/hr.

Mission:
This will be part of the supercharger team and will be responsible for testing our EV charger features to ensure the quality and safety of the charging experience for both client owners and third party EVs. You will architect, design, and implement firmware validation procedures, equipment, tooling, and automation to efficiently test charging components and subsystems. You will work closely with development and integration teams to explore and validate the performance capabilities of our hardware and firmware to ensure code quality is high.
Must Haves:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience EE background
- Strong analytical and hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Experience with software development in systems languages (e.g. C, C++, Rust), preferably for real-time controls systems
- Experience with controls system fundamentals and modeling
- Familiarity with grid and/or microgrid operation as well as safety and compliance standards (UL 1741, IEEE 1547)
Day-to-Day
- collaborate with firmware, hardware, product, and compliance teams to define requirements for control behaviors
- Develop control models of residential systems in simulations (Matlab/Simulink)
- Implement control algorithms and integration tests (SiL, HiL) in software
- Perform hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of control algorithms on residential hardware
- Support safety/compliance testing
