Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.

The Oracle Health Pharmacy and Multum engineering team is focused on modernizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) by establishing an AI-first EHR that will serve as our core system of intelligence for healthcare. Our team is focused on delivering pharmacy and clinical research capabilities that will provide cutting-edge AI, user experience advancements, and offer open APIs for customers

Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will own the team vision and execution of software design and development for major components of Oracle's Health and AI platform. You will apply your technical and organizational skills to solve delivery, support, and operational optimizations. You will be responsible for continued automation and upkeep of a world-wide cloud service distribution platform as well as building platform and observability solutions for Oracle's new AI driven Electronic Medical Record.

The model candidate should have technical depth, architectural know-how, passion for building world-class teams and demonstrated ability to balance work across initiatives. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile, environments and be excited to learn new things.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team building and enhancing clinical products and services.
  • Define and drive platform architecture and technical vision, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure foundations for diverse AI-driven clinical applications.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, UX, Solution Architects, Security, Compliance, and Clinical SMEs to gather requirements and translate them into actionable platform features.
  • Ensure the product meets all standards for data privacy, security, regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and aligns with Oracle's internal best practices.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, including feature roadmap delivery, integration of new technologies, and operational reliability.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Set and monitor KPI metrics for platform performance, reliability, scalability, and user adoption.
  • Actively engage with industry advancements to recommend the adoption of emerging AI and healthcare technologies as appropriate for the product.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical or operational platform issues.
  • Represent your team in cross-functional and leadership forums, providing technical thought leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with at least 3 years in management or technical leadership roles.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale platform solutions, ideally in healthcare or another highly regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Java, React).
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle management, scalable/distributed systems, and cloud-based platform development.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (such as HL7, FHIR), privacy, and security regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through the design, launch, and iterative improvement of complex platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $112,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
