These roles are high paced, and our client is looking for
candidates that can handle the high volume workload. This is also a great

Job Description: Our client is looking for a
entry to mid-level IT talent to work as an RPG Support Analyst to assist in the
monitoring of the mid-range platform on 3rd shift, 40 hours/week. Candidate
will be responsible for monitoring the RPG environment on 3rd shift and be
responsible for escalating issues to the appropriate teams. 3rd shift requires
a higher-level issue, that will be more focused on issues with production at a
faster rate of response.
General Summary:
Under general supervision and for assigned shift, submits
jobs as indicated by operations schedule, answers console messages and takes
appropriate action as required, loads and unloads media and distributes
reports. Sets up and maintains hardware and related software, as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Maintains a detailed knowledge of the specific
requirements for AS400 jobs run on assigned shift. Submits jobs as defined in
the daily run log.
2. Monitors the AS400 system, responds to any problems and
takes corrective action, as required. Troubleshoots user and systems problems
related to the AS400 for 14 affiliate plants.
3. Sets-up, maintains and repairs AS400 hardware and related
software for a single shift. May perform other documented procedures to
maintain network servers.
4. Properly identifies, files, and/or distributes all output
media produced on assigned shift.
5. Maintains shift log, incident log, and consumable
inventory record and prepares purchase requisitions, as required.
6. For second and third shift, performs helpdesk-related
duties.
7. May coordinate projects with their affiliate companies.
8. Maintains an appropriate level of conventionality and
conformance in regard to the corporate culture as expressed in the Associate
Handbook. Relates well with others, including as appropriate, peers,
supervisor, subordinates, customers and suppliers while maintaining good
attendance. Assumes appropriate role(s) when working in a team environment.
Responds appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations, which
develop in the work environment.
9. Follows general organization-wide and department-specific
QS-9000 policies, procedures and work instructions.
10. Participates in and supports environmental ISO 14001 and
safety activities by developing supporting goals and objectives, attending
required training, complying with established procedures and initiating and
implementing corrective actions, as needed.
11. Answers Helpdesk phone. Gathers information and logs
problem call.
12. Performs other related duties, as required.
Minimum Level of Education and Training Required:
High School diploma. College degree or computer training.
Previous PC, network or AS400 support experience.
Minimum Level of Knowledge and Skills Required:
Analytical skills to gather and interpret observable factual
information from several sources.
Communication skills to interact with coworkers and
supervisor and to understand and respond to requests or instructions. Basic
courtesy and customer service skills.
Customer service skills and courtesy for routine
interactions.
Knowledge of AS400 hardware components and appropriate
software applications systems for assigned shift and one alternate shift. Some
knowledge of PC networking.
Ability to coordinate and monitor a high level of activity
