Job Title: Packaging Engineer
Job Location: Coppell, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ months Contract on W2
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Packaging Engineer who can manage multiple projects, work with suppliers, and make basic design changes using 2D CAD software. The role focuses on structural and retail packaging like unit boxes, master cartons, and palletization.
What You'll Do
Manage Projects: Handle several packaging projects at the same time, from new product launches to troubleshooting issues.
Work with Suppliers: Request prototypes, check dimensions, and resolve technical problems.
Testing: Review and perform packaging tests at our facility.
Troubleshoot Issues: Solve problems on the production line and coordinate fixes with suppliers.
Collaborate: Work with internal teams, vendors, and sometimes customers.
What We're Looking For
Education: Degree in Packaging Engineering preferred; Mechanical or Industrial Engineering acceptable.
Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience or internships in packaging.
Skills:
Basic knowledge of 2D CAD software (can learn specific tools).
Strong English communication skills for calls and supplier management.
Nice to Have:
Experience with palletization software (Cape or TOPS).
Familiarity with project management tools.
