About the Role

The Operations Analyst I is responsible for supporting process- and analytics-based decisions data management and process implementation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain performance and metrics reporting for the sales and support teams of SelectQuote Senior
  • Prepare quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel SQL Amazon Quicksight and other analytics tools to develop meaningful insights into company performance
  • Provide forward-looking and historical analysis for strategic initiatives through modeling and sensitivity tool usage
  • Produce clear and concise presentations regarding projects and other assigned tasks
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to various teams throughout the business
  • Create reporting for key performance indicators monitor results and provide analysis of results to company stakeholders
  • Define benchmarks for success within the division using historical analysis
  • Collaborate with department leaders to build analyze and defend strategy and business cases for new initiatives workflow enhancements technological enhancements etc.
  • Complete assigned tasks quickly and with a sense of urgency
  • Develop working knowledge of business processes data generated within each process and flow of data within the database for foundational KPIs

Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills especially relating to presentation development
  • High level of self-motivation; ability to accomplish goals independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset; a high degree of accuracy is required in all functions
  • High level of curiosity and problem-solving aptitude
  • Resourcefulness and ability to push through ambiguity and find answers independently

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Finance Economics Mathematics Business Analytics or related field
  • 0-2 years' experience in analyst role (finance operations business or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience working with technical applications and programming languages like PowerBI Tableau Python R SQL etc. highly preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
