JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAIC is seeking a Grid Computing Engineer in Chantilly, VA to oversee a globally deployed, centrally managed, decentralized big data computing environment. The successful candidate leverages their strong verbal and written communication skills to support physically separated customers, mission partners, and teammates quantify their requirements. Once defined, the candidate will write and edit technical packages, to include creating procurement Task Orders, evaluate proposed vendor solutions, and shepherd the overall process through program implementation. The candidate will be required to craft and review standard operating procedures, executive-level presentations, and review other technical documentation for potential impacts to the program. As a SIGINT technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), the candidate is expected to represent the team and customer at various configuration, requirements, and operational boards and must be proficient in using multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors in STEM and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters in STEM and seven (7) years or more experience
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
Clearance required to start: Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph
Clearance required to remain on the program: Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph
DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES/CERTIFICATIONS:
10-years deploying and troubleshooting Information Technology (IT) infrastructure
5-years with virtual, distributed, and/or cloud data processing
3-years with service management activities in determining cost, schedule, and performance impacts of service operations
Exposure to Big Data requirements, design, and fulfillment
Creation and implementation of strategic plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Participation as a team member creating and evaluating technical proposals
Participation in yearly/multi-year budget exercises
