Mainframe Programmer/Application Programmer

100% Remote

SUMMARY:
Contractor will collaborate with the ITO and ATCSU unit to provide technical expertise and develop solutions to meet business and system requirements. All contractor personnel will work under the supervision of a Project Manager from the AOC's Information Technology Office or designated representative.

The Mainframe consultant will develop and/or receive program specification requirements that outline the coding to be completed. The contractor must deliver new or modified programs, perform successful unit testing, create supporting documentation, and participate with users during system testing. Experience with database conversions is helpful.

Qualifications and Skills:
Hands-on experience coding, testing, and debugging COBOL/CICS/DB2 programs
Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM/DB2
Experience with CICS
Experience converting IDMS/DC to CICS and IDMS to DB2
Experience participating in usability/system testing

Ideal Candidate:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities:
Develop a full understanding of the Civil Case Management system and other Judiciary applications
Develop and/or receive detailed program specifications
Deliver new or modified programs
Perform unit testing and participate in system testing with users
Develop and maintain supporting documentation
