Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will handle a variety of technical tasks, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and classroom technology systems. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who excels in providing exceptional technical support and guidance.
Responsibilities:
Manage incoming service requests and oversee their progress through the tracking system to resolution.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot both Windows and Mac systems, including deploying new hardware and performing system upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware and software, ensuring all systems are up-to-date.
Deliver training and support to staff on software and hardware systems, and create comprehensive user and system documentation.
Provide technical support for classroom technology, including maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
Assist faculty and staff in understanding classroom technology requirements and limitations.
Prepare rooms with appropriate equipment for events such as classes, meetings, and seminars, ensuring all systems are ready for use.
Address issues promptly for online course moderators and attendees, ensuring minimal disruptions.
Support pre-exam setup and provide communication and assistance during exam periods, which may require occasional weekend availability.
Requirements
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting PC desktops and workstations.
Hands-on experience with Active Directory for system management.
Solid knowledge of desktop hardware and related technologies.
Expertise in Windows 10, including imaging and system configuration.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle technical challenges effectively.
Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to users.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional weekends.
Familiarity with classroom technology systems and online conferencing tools.
