Job Details

We are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer / RedHat Linux Engineer to join a high-performing Enterprise Compute Infrastructure team in Alpharetta, GA. This role requires a seasoned engineer with deep Linux, VMware, and storage expertise. The ideal candidate will be local to Alpharetta, able to work hybrid (3 days onsite), and flexible with occasional off-hours or weekend support.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10 15 years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems engineering

  • Strong experience with VMware virtualization

  • Hands-on with NetApp Storage (NFS, iSCSI, FC) NFSv4 w/ Kerberos a big plus

  • Expertise in automation and scripting using Bash, Python, or Ansible

  • Experience supporting Linux systems running Oracle DB in SAN environments

  • Proficiency in Red Hat Satellite for patching/vulnerability management

  • Familiarity with REST APIs for scripting and automation

  • Working knowledge of CIS standards, SELinux, auditd, encryption, etc.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Cisco UCS or other blade server infrastructure

  • Experience in financial services industry

  • Git/SCM version control for maintaining codebase

  • Jira & Confluence for documentation and task tracking

  • MFA and security-hardening expertise
