Opportunity Overview
We are currently seeking a professional for a W2 contract opportunity in Provo, UT. This role has the potential to extend over multiple years, with the chance to transition to a direct hire position with our client. We provide healthcare, vacation, relocation assistance, and visa sponsorship/transfer. This is a W2 position, not C2C. THIRD PARTIES NEED NOT APPLY. Scope Of Work
Provide IT consulting services for the software development of our Client s electronic medical record (EMR). Hourly rates are fully loaded (includes all costs to provide the IT consulting services on-site at the Client's Hospital facilities or while working remotely).
Organizational Context
Our Client s EMR is a system for managing the information related to all aspects of a patient s psychiatric and medical treatment at the hospital. It is an inpatient psychiatric treatment facility. Core functionality of information management is divided between PowerBuilder technologies and web technologies (.Net). eChart is built using PowerBuilder. Our Client has been in the process of migrating modules from eChart to a web-based architecture. The team is responsible for building and maintaining a PowerBuilder based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Responsibilities
- Develops, codes, tests and documents technical solutions for eChart suite of applications
- Utilizes problem-solving skills to identify root causes of bugs and devise solutions
- Applies business knowledge to plan and implement solutions for new requirements and enhancements
- Documents tasks and solutions in Jira
- Creates and verifies test builds
- Coordinates user testing with QA group at client's, resolving issues to meet deadlines
- Adheres to project timelines and schedules
- Adheres to client specific policies
- Applies client specific standards when designing and coding application modules
- Develops time and effort estimates
- Follows software development processes and checklists to ensure completeness and stability of software
- Works closely with enterprise and inhouse database administrators to coordinate database design and management
- Helps with the migration of legacy code to web technologies
- Works as an active member of the development team. Recognizes and takes ownership in meeting team sprint goals. Aligns individual activities with team activities. Communicates progress, problems and status with team members.
Skill Requirements
- Must have 10 years of recent experience developing and maintaining applications with PowerBuilder (version 10.x or higher) and its related technologies.
- Must have 10 years of recent experience with MS SQL Server related code development
- Must have 10 years of recent experience working with eChart or a similar EMR, developed using PowerBuilder and designed for a state mental health treatment facility.
Preferred/Required Skills
- 10 years of recent experience developing and maintaining EMR applications with PowerBuilder
- 10 years of recent experience with MS SQL Server related code development
- 10 years of recent experience developing and maintaining applications with PowerBuilder (version 10.x or higher) and its related technologies.
