Job Details

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is seeking an experienced IT Analyst with Audit response experience for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in lower Manhattan, NYC. Hybrid - 2 days/week in the office required.

The role will serve as an Analyst in the Technology Governance Office, supporting IT remediation activities for U.S. related to regulatory finding(s). This resource will serve as an Analyst for two U .S. remediation workstreams focusing on the review and challenge of regulatory committed issue closure packages for completed milestones.

Accountabilities
  • Act as Analyst for 2 U.S. remediation' workstreams:
    • Review and author technology issue closure packages to ensure successful completion of committed milestones
    • Provide credible challenge on issue closure package narratives, artifacts, and related evidence based on industry guidance and regulatory requirements
    • Collaborate with issue/task owners on issue closure package revisions to ensure required quality standards are adhered to
    • Define the response and coordinate submission to Internal Quality Assurance and Internal Audit (to address root causes)
  • Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e., FFIEC, NYDFS, FRB), internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with technology partners and key stakeholders (e.g., milestone owners such as IT architects and App Dev mgrs.) to ensure effective communication of issue closure package content and documentation.
  • Monitor progress of issue closure package validation to ensure successful completion against strict committed deadlines.
  • Escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to workstream lead and senior / executive management.
  • This is a heavy writing and content review position!
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence throughout the issue remediation process to keep artifact repositories updated.
  • No PM skills needed.

Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Technology
    • Internal Audit or 2 nd Line of Defense Risk Management
    • Internal Controls
  • Business Analyst or equivalent - 8+ yrs
  • Knowledge of Regulatory / Industry Best Practices
  • Experience working with Internal Audit groups and knowing best practices for Issue Closure packages! Must know what Audit looks for in closure packages.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Ability to interview issue owners to collect necessary closure details.
  • Be able to build a comprehensive IT response using provided bullets and artifacts from an IT user.
  • Ability to prioritize and work simultaneously on various tasks, independently and to completion.
  • Attentive to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Demonstrable experience with business/technical analysis and documentation activities
  • Excellent Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Financial Services experience
  • Regulatory experience and understanding of agencies such as FFIEC, FRB and DFS
