This role, due to the business needs of the team, requires employees to be physically present in the specified office on a full-time basis. This helps to ensure you are best equipped to be successful and have the experience you need to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

As an Associate Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting all failed hard drives and DIMM's. You will also be responsible for the installation of new SSD and NVME into existing servers. You will be mentored by level 2 data center technicians and assist them with various server maintenance tasks as necessary. You must have basic server component add/remove experience and entry level Linux troubleshooting skills. The quality of the work performed will have a direct impact on the stability and performance of the company's enterprise computer systems. Being a global company, down-time is measured in minutes, so responsiveness and effectiveness during system outages are critical. You will be working directly with the local site supervisor, who will give you direction and assign your workload.

This position will work directly with Client's contracted Data Center Technicians and Senior Data Center Technicians who are responsible for all hardware break-fix activities, to ensure SLA's and KPI's are met. This position will also work with Client full time engineers as points of escalation.

Primary Responsibilities will include:
Troubleshooting and resolution of failed hard drives and failed DIMM's within server nodes.
Installation of new SSD and NVME hard drives into existing servers.
Troubleshooting and resolution of console connectivity issues.
Troubleshooting and resolution of all power supply and RDU (power strip) related issues.
Troubleshooting and resolution of all tier 1 server hardware break-fix issues.
Respond to all system problems on a 24X7 basis and take part in on-call rotation

Secondary Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting Data Center Technicians in OS level troubleshooting and network troubleshooting.
Process (identify, tag, and prepare) all server nodes ready for decommissioning and prepare them for our third-party ITAM vendor to pick up.
Ensure Client's data center house rules are being followed and immediately report any concerns to leadership.
Ensure Client's data center cleanliness; any issues with cleanliness must be reported to leadership
