Job Description:
This team plays a crucial role in supporting aggressive electrification and alternative power generation initiatives. As a Test Engineer, your primary responsibility will be the validation of charger and power inverter components. You will spend the majority of your time in the lab, generating test reports and test plans, and collaborating with design and validation teams within electrification teams. Additionally, you will engage in design activities performed in the office, creating test plans, and reviewing/analyzing data acquired from tests.
The role involves the development and validation of electrical conversion systems for the Electrification and Energy Solutions Division. The primary focus will be on testing and validating Bi-Directional Power Inverters (BDP), BEV chargers, DC converters, and related electrical and electronics system integration.
Project Objectives:
Design and develop electrical conversion systems with a team of power conversion specialists and electrical and mechanical engineers.
Validate charger and power inverter components.
Generate detailed test reports and test plans.
Collaborate with design and validation teams within electrification teams.
Engage in both lab testing and office-based design work.
Key Responsibilities:

Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Experience with power inverters/converters.
Knowledge of power electronics/high voltage systems.
Lab test experience, including proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
Understanding of electrical circuits.
Educational background: AS, BS, or MS degree in a relevant field.
